They Call It Quality Response

New on the scene for the domestic mobile market is the ever useful QR code, the matrix code that has become ubiquitous in Japan and has been popping up in magazines, websites, and even business cards (want to know more about QR? Jump for the jump!). More exciting to us Listios, however, are two new webwares that bring a new mobility to your life and your phone.

Swiss mobile platform company Kaywa, has developed the Kaywa Reader, a download-to-phone QR reader for your camera phone. Once downloaded all you have to do is aim the camera, and the program does the rest, decrypting the QR to give you instant information on the event, person, etc.. Quick, easy, and innovative it turns your phone into a reader, and save you from pens and long texting of notes on the phone.

Scanlife is another downloadable reader, and much like Kaywa allows you to use QR codes to get information, but Scanlife uses smaller matrixes that they call “EZcodes” to send reminders, get showtimes, schedules, and download games. Find out what QR can do with this Listio search: QR
