Supercook: Recipes From What You Have

Clean, easy-to-use, and with a large number of recipes possible (250,000 they say), Supercook is an application that takes recipe searching from a different angle — what ingredients you’ve got on hand.

Users can find what recipe they want by entering ingredients that they have into the search bar. As they enter in ingredients, recipes will appear at right with those items. This means that user can find recipes to make something with only what they have - no last minute trips to the store. Simply add your ingredient into the search engine and it will appear in a list below. As you populate your list of on-hand ingredients, recipes will appear with those ingredients. Recipes requiring another ingredient will show that ingredient on the list.

Supercook also has a printable Suggested Shopping List (ingredients taken from your saved recipes) so that you can get a head start on your dream menu.

What Supercook is missing is a way to access recipes by name. The only way to find recipes in Supercook is by entering ingredients, and users that are looking to discover new dishes will have to enter ingredients to find them. That said, for finding recipes without going to the store, Supercook does what no print cookbook can - suggest recipes based on what you have.
