MyFonts: Finding and Matching Fonts

MyFonts is a font application that makes your font search like shopping. Open search, tags, categories, and your own albums make finding the right font an easy process.
The first thing you notice as you use MyFonts is the clean and engaging design that it uses - appropriate for a font application - which makes navigation straightforward. The next thing you’ll notice is how accessible the fonts are, listed with not only with tags and categories, but also the best sellers and what’s new. As you find fonts you like you can add them into custom albums for later reference. If you would like to purchase, the font can be added to a cart with one click.
As a special feature MyFonts has a sample text field where users can put in one line of text that they want to see in that font. This is more useful than it first appears; not all fonts include all characters, and spacing between letters is not always even (b’s, d’s, y’s and the like). Font samples can also be resized, have their background and font colors changed by use of a color wheel, and be seen as a number of standard sizes. Fonts also have a graphic example at the right of the text, showing how the font looks in a design.
Another feature is the “What the Font” tool, which allows users to upload an image of a font they want to know more about and What the Font will match it to its name.
If there is a downside to MyFonts, it is that only a few of the fonts are free, but most are priced affordably ($20 to $40).
