Introduction to Web 2.0 Feedback Applications

June 5th, 2009

Not every company wants to keep in-house customer service staff, and not all customers like to talk over the phone. So what can you do with the web savvy customers who are looking to share their thoughts?

Take it online, of course! The web has developed to the point that it’s possible to do nearly anything online, and feedback is no different. In this series we’ll be looking at the feedback applications Get Satisfaction, Uservoice, and Suggestion Box, which let customers give feedback and let companies respond. Conducted in a forum setting, these applications allow users to track comments and discussions, and they offer widgets that can be added to existing sites for a complete customer experience.

Most offer a simplified interface to help users, and some allow for messages to be categorized, making feedback even easier to understand. Features such as comment tracking, user profiles, and the number of commentators are common to these applications.

To get a head start on the topic, there is the Listio search: feedback+business.

Next in this series: UserVoice: Customizable Feedback Platform

New to Listio? Our tag cloud search offers an easy way to narrow your hunt for the perfect web application or service. No more second guessing of search terms. Just click on one tag, then as many more as you'd like to narrow your search results. It's easy and ensures you get to the listing you want. Finding web 2.0 was never so easy.

Feedback tabs are quickly gaining in popularity but I think that a good old help system is more valuable to the users. Tender Support (tenderapp.com) is perfect in my opinion. A nice clean help system without the gimmicks.
