br.st! is a service that allows you to input a long URL, shorten it and then track the traffic to it. With Twitter you only have 140 characters for every tweet. Using br.st! you can include a link without the link taking up all or the majority of your tweet. Short URLs are also easier to include in emails or on websites when long links would wrap and are difficult to cut and paste.
