A.nnotate lets you attach tags, notes, and replies to particular words or phrases on documents. Its focus is collaborative document creation where one user is the primary editor but many others have to provide input or feedback. By letting people see and respond to each others notes, it saves wasting time making duplicate comments and dramatically cuts the writing time compared with getting comments or edited versions by email. All selected text is indexed, so A.nnotate also functions as an easy and effective document management system.
